Two months after graduating from Florida State University, Mae Zitzke joined FSU’s English Department as an Administrative Associate/Human Resources Representative.

Graduating in December of 2021, Zitzke transitioned to her new position in early February. She described the transition from being a full-time student to working full-time as “an adjustment.”

Victoria Hopkins recently joined Florida State University’s English department as Academic Support Assistant. Her previous experience in academia spurred her to return to the environment at FSU.

In 2016, Hopkins graduated from Samford University, located in Birmingham, Alabama, where she lived until 2020. After living in Orlando for one year, Hopkins began to consider moving to the Tallahassee area.

Britni DeZerga is an avid amateur botanist, crochet enthusiast, and a cat mom. Indeed, as the English department’s Graduate Program Coordinator, she brings more to the desk she sits behind than most people know about.

DeZerga moved from Lake County, Florida, to Tallahassee in 2010 to attend Florida State University, where she majored in literature and earned her bachelor’s degree.
