Florida State University’s student comedy organizations 30in60, Friday Night Live, NoBearsAllowed, and Eggplant FSU have created a wonderful and hilarious community within the campus that has influenced both its members and the people they reach.

Whether through a laugh, bringing others into their organizations, or through outreach, they are a cove whose beach you would want to reach every time. As for how your boat can find their shores, there are quite a few different and funny stories of how members got involved.

Monsters, mutants, and outcasts have always captivated Evan J. Peterson, and he loves to write about them.

Peterson is a two-time alumnus of Florida State University’s Department of English, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004 in literature and his Master of Fine Arts degree in 2009 in creative writing.

Tatia Ghviniashvili never expected to return to Tallahassee after finishing her time as a Florida State University undergraduate.

“I graduated during COVID-19, so, I graduated from home,” she says, recalling when she finished her studies at Florida State University at the end of the spring 2020 semester with her Bachelor of Arts in English-Editing, Writing, and Media. “The way everything unfolded was super abrupt.”
