Annual Digital Symposium

FSU’s Digital Studio hosts the Digital Symposium, an annual event that highlights some of the digital scholarship, pedagogy, and production in the department and beyond. Each year the program curator organizes an open house and publishes a website to host the selected projects for the year. Click on any of the years below to view the entries in that year’s Symposium.

Annual Speaker Series

Each year the Rhetoric and Composition program hosts one or two visiting scholars, who come to campus to interact with the faculty and graduate students in both formal and informal settings, lead a workshop, participate in an interview with graduate students, and give an open public lecture on some of their recent scholarly activity. This event affords graduate students and faculty an opportunity to network with leading scholars in the field. In addition to inviting visiting scholars, our own Rhetoric and Composition faculty will often present from their work following a sabbatical or research leave in order to share their newest scholarship with the local community. Click on the scholar’s name below in order to view their flier with abstract, or click on the associated interview transcript for a sense of how they have contributed to our intellectual community

Program Newsletters

For about 12 years, we published a Program Newsletter. We retired the newsletter, now having access to more dynamic avenues for sharing information, including the department’s social media accounts. Feel free to browse this archive for past highlights and insights into our program’s recent history.
