The Role of the Public Intellectual
David Kirby

This is an Honors class. Our concern is public intellectuals: not academic specialists but groundbreaking thinkers whose work has broad appeal. We’ll be doing lots of reading of and writing about authors from the ancients to contemporaries. As a result, I guarantee you’ll be a better thinker and writer in April than you were in January. Write dkirby@fsu.edu if you have any questions. Here are our books; you may want to order them now to make sure you have them on hand.
