CRW 3110 fall 2024 -Hundley

This course is designed for students and practitioners of fiction with an emphasis on contemporary and historical forms that have characterized the genre. In the interest of capturing the “state of the field,” contemporary literary magazines—mostly online magazines—will be our short fiction texts. The course will also leverage an introductory craft text—Hyne’s Writing Great Fiction (provided by the instructor as a PDF). This is not a traditional fiction workshop, but students will write, share, and discuss their drafts.
