LIT 3024 Spring 2024 - Boyles

This discussion-based course examines short stories across a variety of genres in an attempt to dismantle the lamely pretentious notion of "literary" fiction. Magic, transhuman body modifications, and space travel do not preclude a story from a compelling and empathetic portrayal of character. We will also explore more contemporary formats for short fiction, including ARGs, analog horror, and creepypastas.
