ENG 4834 Spring 2024 Weise

In 2014 Tyler Trewhella started a movement on Tumblr. They named it “cripple punk” and described it like this: “Cripple punk rejects the ‘good cripple’ mythos. Cripple punk is here for the bitter cripple, the uninspirational cripple, the smoking cripple, the drinking cripple, the addict cripple, the cripple who hasn’t ‘tried everything’ […] Cripple punk does not pander to the able bodied.” For this course we will read cripple punk texts from international zines and presses.
