ENC 3310 Spring 2024 - Sokolowski

This is an introductory creative nonfiction course that will explore the craft of writing researched, artful essays about truthful experiences and factual topics. Students will read broadly––including personal essays, lyric essays, journalistic essays, and experimental forms––to gain skills for the creative focus of this course, a semester-long essay project. Students will choose one topic, go "down the rabbit hole" of research and personal recollections, and write and revise multiple drafts of one braided essay.
