American Novels, AML4121

American Novels will explore the term “American” and the idea of what it means for a work to be an “American novel.” We will study the current events taking place in the timeline of the fictions and when the novels were written. We will discuss the timelessness of the work and how the 20th and 21st century shaped the novel.
