ENG6939-0002 – Spring 2027 – Stuckey-French

Students enrolled in this novel writing class should be in the throes of writing a novel, just beginning one, or revising one. In this course we will explore the craft of novel writing by reading and closely examining five short novels, workshopping sections of your own novel, and reading and discussing interviews with published writers about novel writing. I will also give you writing exercises to help you gather material, develop your plot, and get to know your characters.
