Hannah Squires is a master's student who recently graduated from Florida State University with double bachelor's degrees in English-Literature, Media, and Culture and in Humanities. Her research focuses on the intersection between narrative theory, gender, and 20th- and 21st-century American Literature. Hannah's FSU Honors in the Major undergraduate thesis focused on how narrative authority shapes representations of female characters in the novels My Ántonia and The Great Gatsby. She is presenting this scholarship at the Southern Atlantic Modern Language Association in the fall of 2026. Hannah's passion lies in research, writing, and working with and teaching undergraduate students.
