ENG2012 – Spring 2027 – Laganas

What does it mean to study English? In our course, we will explore the wonder of words through our own experiences with language, poetry, and creative nonfiction. We will read surprising and thought-provoking works, discover new ways to approach and play with words on a page, and develop our skills as writers, readers, and thinkers. Along the way, we will learn what English majors actually do: ask questions that spark curiosity, find our own meanings in texts, develop exciting ideas, and share those ideas with others. Most of all, we will uncover how much there is to notice, question, and savor in the words around us.
