Nathaniel R Hankins

Nathaniel R Hankins is an M.F.A. candidate in Creative Writing. His background includes eight years as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician in the U.S. Army, which influences his writing. Nathaniel is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder. He holds two degrees from the University of Colorado: an A B.A. in Journalism with a focus in Print and Photojournalism; and a Summa B.A. in English with a focus in Creative Writing. Nathaniel explores themes of chaos, grief, horror, the occult, and the Southern Gothic through primary research methods developed in journalism practices. He has been published in Hindsight and with CU Boulder’s News Team.
