Engage with published poetry, analyze the writers' use of style, form, metaphor, image, character, setting and narrative shape to assess how writers expand our understanding of human experience. 2. Write their own poetry, demonstrating attention to the artful use of language. 3. Demonstrate principles of editing, critiquing others' work in a constructive, professional manner.
