How did you decide on English-Creative Writing as your major?

I chose English-Creative Writing as my major because I love to write fiction and poetry and I wanted to learn more about it.

What was your favorite part of being an English major?

My favorite part of being an English major was the creativity that we all had. There were so many creative people in my classes and it was fun to be a part of such an extraordinary group of people.

What one memory of your time at FSU do you think I’ll always remember?

One memory of my time at FSU that I’ll always remember is when David Kirby made my class randomly stand up and sing a song in class. It was so funny.

What would you tell a student who is considering English as their major?

I would tell a student who is considering English as their major that if writing is something you love to do and you’re good at it, do it. You might not make the most money, but you’ll become a better writer and learn so much more about the world.

What are your post-graduation plans?

After graduation I plan on writing a science fiction book. I also want to pursue a career in either technical writing, content creating or editing.
