FSU Creative Writing Presents
With Robert Pinsky and Erin Belieu
The Favorite Poem Project
Thursday, March 24, 2016, 7:00 p.m.
Alumni Center Grand Ballroom
1030 W Tennessee Street
The Favorite Poem Project is dedicated to celebrating, documenting and encouraging poetry's role in Americans' lives. Robert Pinsky, the 39th Poet Laureate of the United States, founded the Favorite Poem Project shortly after the Library of Congress appointed him to the post in 1997. This unique voice for poetry in America will be bringing a multimedia poetry performance to FSU, which features readings by members of the Tallahassee artistic community, project founder Robert Pinsky, FSU's own Erin Belieu, as well as video from the archives of the Favorite Poem Project. This event is free and open to the public. Please join us for an evening of poetry that should not be missed.
