The Publishing Rountable

In addition to housing the small press, Fiction Collective 2, our English department is home to several publications, including Journal of Early Modern Cultural Studies and Journal of Beckett Studies and Southeast Review. Add to that a Certificate program in editing and publishing, and you have a department well-equipped to offer its members valuable advice and practical experience in the realm of publishing. On February 24, ACES (Advisory Coucil of English Students) hosted a Publishing Roundtable, which brought together editors Bruce Boehrer (JEMCS), S. E. Gontarski (JOBS), and Brenda Mills (FC2), with Ned Stuckey-French from the Certificate program to informally discuss and answer questions about publishing. From book reviews to the varying degrees of rejection in rejection letters, issues great and small were addressed, questions answered, and graduate student anxieties assuaged!
