Curriculum Vitae

JOSEPH R. MCELRATH, JR., William Hudson Rogers Professor of English, Associate Vice-President for Academic Affairs, and University Liaison to the FSU's accrediting agency (SACS), received his B.A. at LeMoyne College, his M.A. at Duquesne University, and his Ph.D. at the University of South Carolina. He specializes in late 19th-century American Literature, Textual & Bibliographical Studies, and Scholarly Editing. Biographer of Frank Norris (Frank Norris, A Life [2006]), he presently serves as the Textual Editor of the two-volume Life and Times of Frederick Douglass edition in the autobiographical series of the Frederick Douglass Papers project (IUPUI) published by Yale University Press.
